Start the conversationOrlando is an essential part of any Florida holiday: simple as that. The only problem you'll have is organising your time because, no matter how long you stay, we guarantee you won't manage to visit every attraction you want to. A bit of prior planning goes a long way, so get some kind of rough itinerary together (after all, the anticipation is all part of the excitement).
Orlando is the most famous family destination in the world but there is something for absolutely everyone to enjoy. It's legendary for theme parks such as WALT DISNEY WORLD, SeaWorld® Orlando and Universal Studios® but there is soooooo much more.
There's huge music and sport venues, world class golf courses, amazing museums and art galleries and state of the art spas. Just a little drive further a field there is the ecological wonder that is the Everglades or the Space phenomenon - Kennedy Space Centre.

Getting around
Public transport is limited in Orlando. You'll need a car if you intend to really explore and make the most of what Orlando has to offer. Non-drivers are catered for - our advice would be to choose a hotel situated directly on I-Drive. The I-Trolley operates a regular service around the area and there are tonnes of attractions, restaurants and shops in this area to keep you fully occupied - what's more kids under 12 are free when travelling with an adult. For other areas, the local Lynx Bus network has over 400 stops around the area and you can buy daily or weekly passes. Most hotels also offer transportation to select theme parks.
We include a transfer to most hotels in Orlando, but for something really special - why not surprise the family and book a limo, their faces will be priceless and it will definitely be a Kodak moment to remember.
The main Interstate running through Orlando is the I-4, this is the quickest way for getting you quickly from one end of the resort to the other. However, do avoid it during rush hours, which tend to run from 6.30am-9.00am and 3.00pm-6.30pm. Instead during these times, take a toll road like the 417, 429, 528 or the Florida Turnpike.
